Disgraced ufologist Phil Imbrogno takes us on a winding journey that starts with a simple suggestion from legendary colleague J. Allen Hynek and ends with the discovery of portals to other dimensions in Upstate New York.
Break out the popcorn and get ready for an eerie ride into the heart of ufology, which beats with a blood far, far stranger than any alien we can imagine. But then also realize that a few years after this interview, Phil was run out of ufology for lying about his background as an MIT grad and military service, or lack thereof. Sucks, I know.
I’ve always found Imbrogno’s writing to be very readable and quite enjoyable. The accusation of falsified records does not lessen the readability of any of his work, and I look forward to being able to read more.
They aren’t just accusations, they were proven true, which is why you likely won’t be reading more from him–although being caught in massive lies hasn’t kept anyone else from the field, so who knows? He may make a comeback as long as there’s people like you who don’t really care about the subject and just want to hear campfire stories. And let’s face it: there are a lot of you out there, which is why the field is so attractive to frauds in the first place.
