2012 Stats In Review

Hey, thanks for checking out my blog everyone. I can’t believe how much interest there was in just nine months. (Ze baby… she is born, no?)

Crap, now I have to keep adding content. Well then… let this self-congratulatory excuse count as post #62!–LONG LIVE THE LAZY!

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This blog had 16,000 views in 2012. If each view were a film, this blog would power 4 Film Festivals

  1. Since I live in a county with THE toughest sheriff in the known Universe, Joe Arpaio, I am taking no chances with the law and issuing a comment immediately.

Near and dear to the hearts of vulture capitalists, the numbers do tell a good story. But, having followed your work for a while, I recognize that they cannot possibly convey the whole story. As impressive as the numeric analyses are, they cannot explain why people find things of value and return time after time. How many movies, even at Cannes, do you watch 4 times?

    Thanks for everything, Jeremy.
